North Carolina Central University (NCCU) -
Technology Assisted Legal Instruction and Services (TALIAS)
North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law received a grant from the US Department of Commerce to upgrade broadband services and deploy videoconferencing in five universities and Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) offices across the state.
TALIAS will employ a fully immersive telepresence environment to offer both undergraduate courses and legal assistance at the following four Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, NC A&T University, and Winston-Salem State University.
East Market Street Development Corporation (EMSDC)
East Market Street Development Corporation (EMSDC), a private non-profit CDC, offers comprehensive community revitalization services in East Greensboro that create and sustain assets through economic, business, and community development services and programs. EMSDC is helping rebuild the business community in East Greensboro through two of its committees, the Business Development (BDC) & Economic Revitalization Committee (ERC).
Comprised of several area business leaders, the BDC and ERC work together as an advisory group for EMSDC's Business Development program, which educates and advises entrepreneurs in both new and existing small businesses, and develops projects that spur economic activity.

The BEST Center is a business incubator located in southeast Greensboro. Since the Grand Opening, on May 27, 2009, the BEST Center has become a valuable resource location for community business owners, launching 4 startup companies and 5 emerging businesses.
